John Palmer Public School, The Ponds, has a P & C. Their first meeting was on 5th March and they will be meeting at the school on the first Wednesday of the month. The items of business discussed included the design of a logo for the John Palmer P & C Committee, P & C Sponsorship opportunities, safety issues in the school drop-off and parking zone, P & C fundraising initiatives including Easter and Mother’s Day fundraising and the development of a standard sponsorship letter. The Ponds Community Development Programme will sponsor the initial set up costs which include registration, affiliation and insurance fees.
The school has 45 students and with 10 parents present at the meeting, that shows a very commendable involvement from them. It was great to see the interest and commitment these parents have to the school community.
